西村画廊では、2021年9月22日(水)から10月30日(土)まで、舟越桂、押江千衣子、小林孝亘、曽谷朝絵、町田久美、三沢厚彦の最新作によるグループ展“September 2021”を開催いたします。

舟越桂は、青く彩色し海に見立てた胴体を一艘の船が行く新作彫刻《青い体を船がゆく》を出品します。

押江千衣子は、包まれるような光と葉を落とした木々の調和が叙情的な新作ペインティング《桃源郷》を出品します。

小林孝亘は、家の窓から漏れる灯りと夜の暗さが暖かく響き合う《Home》の他、数点の新作ペインティングを出品します。

曽谷朝絵は、最新の連作《Chords》を出品します。これらの作品は、2019年の展覧会『予兆の輪郭』（トーキョーアーツアンドスペース本郷）で発表したペインティングに加筆したもので、曽谷の持つ「色が音を発する」という共感覚を視覚化しています。個々の絵画は、時間に連れて移ろう光の投影や反射が描かれていると同時に『色の和音』を示しており、それらを様々な形で組合わせて展示することで１つの曲を空間に立ち上げる、という意図の下に制作されています。

町田久美は、新たな展開を見せる新作ペインティングを数点出品します。

三沢厚彦は、《ANIMALS》の最新作として、ライオンと鳥のキメラの新作彫刻を出品します。

Nishimura Gallery is pleased to present “September 2021,” a group exhibition by new works by Katsura Funakoshi, Chieko Oshie, Takanobu Kobayashi, Asae Soya, Kumi Machida and Atsuhiko Misawa, from 22 September to 30 October, 2021.

Katsura Funakoshi will exhibit a new sculpture, “A Boat Drifts Away on the Blue Body”, in which a boat goes along a body painted blue and resembling the sea.

Chieko Oshie will exhibit a painting, “Paradise”, which is lyrical in its harmony of enveloping light and leaf-dropped trees.

Takanobu Kobayashi will exhibit several new paintings, including “Home”, in which the light leaking from the window of a house and the darkness of the night resonate warmly.

Asae Soya will exhibit her latest series of paintings, “Chords”. These works are additions to the paintings presented in the 2019 exhibition “Foreshadows” (Tokyo Arts and Space Hongo). They visualize Soya’s synesthesia, in which ‘colors emit sounds’. The individual paintings depict the projection and reflection of light as it shifts with time, while at the same time showing the ‘chords of color’. The paintings are created with the intention of creating a single piece of music in the space by combining and exhibiting them in various forms.

Kumi Machida will exhibit paintings that show new developments.

Atsuhiko Misawa will exhibit a new sculpture of a lion and bird chimera as the latest work from his “ANIMALS” series.
